Will's Claw is a private assistant with exactly one user: Will Bruce. It is not a product, it is not offered to anyone else, and there is no sign-up. It runs on a single computer he owns. This policy describes what it touches on his own accounts and where that data goes.

What it is

Will's Claw is software running on one machine in Will Bruce's home. It reads his calendar and his email so it can send him a short daily message listing what he actually needs to do that day. It has no users other than its owner, no accounts, no sign-up, and no public interface.

What it accesses, and why

It uses Google's OAuth to access the owner's own Google Account. Each permission is requested because a specific feature needs it:

Permission	What it is used for
calendar	Read today's and tomorrow's events so the daily message can list them. Write access is used only to add or change events when the owner asks for one in so many words.
gmail.modify	Read messages to work out which need a reply; apply and remove labels; archive mail the owner has said is noise. Archiving and labelling are reversible and nothing leaves the mailbox. Where the owner asks for something to be deleted it is moved to Trash, which Google keeps for 30 days. Nothing is ever permanently deleted.
gmail.send	Send a reply only after the owner has read that exact draft and approved it. The assistant never sends mail on its own initiative.
gmail.settings.basic	Create filters that automatically archive recurring notification mail, so the same noise does not have to be handled twice.

Where the data goes

It stays on the owner's own machine. Calendar entries, message contents and the access credentials are stored on that one computer, in files readable only by the account the assistant runs as.
It is not sold, rented, shared or transferred to anyone. There is nobody to share it with — the software has one user and no operator.
There is no analytics, tracking, advertising or profiling, and no third-party analytics service of any kind.
Some text is sent to Anthropic when the assistant needs a language model to judge something — for example, deciding whether a message needs a reply. That happens under the owner's own Anthropic subscription and is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy. Speech transcription and note classification run locally on the machine and are not sent anywhere.
Google user data is never used to train any model, generalised or otherwise.

How long it is kept

The daily message is assembled fresh each morning and is not retained as a copy of the mailbox. The Google credential is kept until it is revoked or removed. The owner can delete everything at any time by deleting the files on the machine, which requires nobody's cooperation.

Revoking access

Access can be withdrawn at any moment, with immediate effect, at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Because the application exists in its own Google Cloud project, deleting that project also removes its access entirely without affecting anything else connected to the account.

Limited Use

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Children

The software is not directed at children and has no users other than its owner, who is an adult.

Changes and contact

If what the assistant does with data changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Questions go to the contact address listed on the application's Google consent screen, which reaches the owner directly.
